I recently took my college-age son and his friends for a 1/2 day striped bass/bluefish trip using Islander Sport Fishing Charters. Some of the boys had never fished saltwater before. I have been on several charters...this was my best overall experience. Capt Wayne and First Mate Ethan are charter fishing professionals.
He not only put us on the fish, but he chased them down. We caught significantly more than we could keep. However, the major separator is they took the time to teach us patiently how to fish effectively by avoiding common mistakes and were very accommodating and fun to be with. Capt Wayne and his crew believe in the "old school" mentality of treating the customer well and giving them the best possible experience they could have. They live by this every day and it is very evident.
Charter fishing is not cheap. I found this money VERY well spent and the memories are priceless. All of us on the boat would recommend Capt Wayne and we will look forward to booking future trips with him and his crew.
